The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
The Undertaker
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 The family is back and making the best chili in Texas. They’re also fucking some people up viciously and having a great time doing it. The same great time you had or are going to have watching the second installment. The makers of TCM2 were smart because they knew there was no way to make a true sequel to the first film. Instead, we get one of the funniest horror/gore films ever. Yes two is much bloodier than one, but it doesn’t in any way have the same feel or atmosphere. It’s like I said funny haha, not funny queer. Where one is scary and creepy, two is fun and gory. Chop Top and Dennis Hopper steal the show in their roles as nut and nutty nutchaser. The dialog is priceless and at times inspirational. There’s plenty of blood and one poor scarred Sonny Bono wig for your pleasure. The family has apparently left home and now runs amok in an abandoned amusement park filled with grisly sites. There are some loose ties with the 1st film, but this one is a different breed all together. TCM2 is a minor classic in its own right and that’s the best way to put it.
